Question...

This isn’t my usual kind of post (it took far longer to put together!) but I wonder if you could help me?

I just collected a test print of one of my photographs, and am planning to get a small selection done in either A4 or A5 (or both!) They’re being printed on 300gsm fine art paper with a matte finish, and I’m really happy with the quality.

Of course, because they’re giclee prints made using archival quality inks they’re far more expensive than standard prints so I want to test the waters and get a set made, probably a few each of three or four images. I’ve put together a gallery below of some of my vast archive, many from Skye but others not. It would be a huge help if you’d take a look and let me know which kind you like the best and would consider having framed on your wall or perhaps purchasing as a gift. Which do you think people would buy? Tell me your top three (or two, or four… this is all new to me!)

I’m also looking into things like cards, postcards, calendars and - if I can find the quality I’m looking for - stationery, like journals and sketchbooks.

So this post is market research, basically. No selling.

I need an idea of what people like: landscapes, lifestyle images, botanicals etc. This will help me identify whether to do more styled shots, or whether people prefer dark and moody or light and bright etc. etc.

All you have to do is scroll through and simply tell me which ‘genre’ appeals to you the most. For example you may be drawn to images featuring the sea, or tumbledown buildings etc. Do you like generic ‘countryside’ pictures or do they need to be specific to where they were taken (Scottish Highlands, Pennines and so on).

Once the decision’s made and the prints are done I’ll do a giveaway as a thank you… So for now: thank you in advance! Any and all suggestions will be much appreciated.
