Wildlife in summer

Since my school holidays started we have been to lots of different places and seen lots of tiny lives.

First we did a walk near Flashader on a hot, sunny day. We found a frog and two crabs and there were also jellyfish and prehistoric-looking woodlice!

Last week Mummy and me went to the beach near Orbost, called Bharcasaig. The sand is black there and the track down to it has all kinds of wildlife. I found worms under stones and a big beetle which was electric blue underneath. There were also two burnet moths which had been mating.

In a few weeks we’re going to see our friends and family in England, and on the way there I’m visiting an aquarium near Loch Lomond. I can’t wait!
